The story about Mighty Archive

For many years I collected antique photographs, preferably in albums. I was lucky to be able to find and but some larger albums that actually told stories.

One set of albums consisted of 4 albums, others of two and sometimes only one album and ocasionally loose photographs too.

Anyway over many years the collection has added up to over 1000 antique photos that included photos many places of the world. 

China, Japan, India, Ceylon, Thailand, Philipphines, Macao, Australia, Guam, Midway Island, Ascension, New Foundland just to mention a few.

Scanning them and getting them ready to post on a website has been on my mind for  while, and now the project has started.

I will post something in the Blog and most of the photos will also go onto the homepage itself. Hoping to be able to group the photos and arrange them in some sort of order, perhaps even make them searchable.

Behind every photo there is a story, and since most of the photos have annotations, I will be able to investigate and make detedctive work to be able to tell the full story behind the individual photos.

I promise at least to my self that this is going to be an interesting journey. So let it begin.
